Carrie A. Mitchell is an American-Canadian entrepreneur, multimedia storyteller, content and creative communications leader. With over 20 years of experience in developing creative stories, content, campaigns, and brands, she founded CMMedia, Co-Founded Age Box Ventures, and is also a writer, author, podcaster and presenter. Carrie works internationally - bridging business in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom and Europe, having traveled extensively and spent chapters in New York City, Los Angeles, Vancouver, Barcelona, and London.

Carrie was previously the CCO at Sonder Communications, Senior Director of Communications at the Four Seasons Hotels UK Collection and Four Seasons Beverly Wilshire, Head of Communications at Bartle Bogle Hegarty, Director of Marketing at Strategic Hospitality Group, and sat on the Board of Directors at Rodeo Drive. As a multimedia storyteller, Carrie covers travel, culture, and media as a writer, author, podcaster, presenter, and content producer. She creates travel content across her social and Pop Passport platforms, previously the Travel Oracles podcast, produces both the CMMedia newsletter + Age Box newsletter, and her writing has appeared in Condé Nast Traveler, Travel + Leisure, Vogue, The New Yorker, BBC, Skift, Forbes, and more. She also wrote the children’s travel book  “To Be We: The Adventures of Owen and Lucy”, and anticipates her debut novel to publish in 2025. From her first internship at Seventeen Magazine, to the many collaborations over the years, writing, media and content creation have always been a significant part of her career.

EDUCATION + MENTORSHIP

Carrie holds degrees from the University of British Columbia, along with additional certifications from other leading educational institutions, lectures on media literacy, and is pursuing further education to expand into psychology studying the impact of media + technology on mental health and behavior. Carrie is passionate about connecting people, places and purpose, and championing women, which is fundamental to her work, entrepreneurial projects, writing, and mentoring.
